Victoria's Electric Coffin" Creator Ikuno Tajima Debuts New Supernatural Manga This April!
Manga creator Ikuno Tajima, known for Victoria’s Electric Coffin, is back with a brand-new supernatural series! The April issue of Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine announced that Tajima will launch Lulu no Hellhouse (Lulu’s Hellhouse) in the magazine’s next issue, set to release on April 18. The manga will kick off with a color opening page, giving readers a visually striking introduction to the story.
What is Lulu’s Hellhouse About?
The magazine describes Lulu’s Hellhouse as a supernatural story featuring a workaholic real estate agent who finds themselves dealing with a haunted house. The premise suggests a unique mix of business and the paranormal, where the main character must navigate both the world of real estate sales and the challenges of ghosts haunting the property.
Ikuno Tajima shared their excitement about the new series on X (formerly Twitter), posting a teaser image and describing the plot as a clash between a determined real estate agent and a terrifying haunted mansion. The announcement was accompanied by spooky emojis, emphasizing the ghostly theme of the manga.
Before Lulu’s Hellhouse, Tajima created Victoria’s Electric Coffin (Victoria no Denki Hitsugi), a dark fantasy manga that ran in Monthly G Fantasy from May 2021 to June 2022. The series was well-received, and Square Enix published its third and final compiled volume in July 2022. Fans outside Japan could also enjoy the manga, as Square Enix Manga & Books released the English version of volume 3 in October 2024. Additionally, Victoria’s Electric Coffin is available to read in English on Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global service.
Given Tajima’s track record of crafting compelling supernatural stories with detailed artwork, Lulu’s Hellhouse is likely to deliver an engaging mix of mystery, horror, and perhaps even some humor. The idea of a real estate agent battling ghosts adds an interesting twist to the haunted house genre, and fans of supernatural manga will likely find this new series intriguing.
With the first chapter arriving on April 18, fans won’t have to wait long to see how Tajima’s latest work unfolds. Will the protagonist be able to sell the haunted property, or will they get caught up in a ghostly nightmare? We’ll find out soon!
