Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc Reveals New Cast and Opening Song

The Tokyo Revengers anime team dropped some more news about the upcoming Tenjiku Arc. They introduced new cast members like Kengo Kawanishi as Souya Kawata, younger brother of Nahoya Kawata, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Haruchiyo Sanzu.

New Cast

Souya Kawata

Souya Kawata or “Angry” is also known as the Fourth Division Vice Captain belonging to the Tokyo Manji Gang whose twin brother is Nahoya Kawata. Compared to his brother Nahoya “Happy”, he’s angry and a pacifist who cares a lot about his friends and goes all the way to protect them.

Haruchiyo Sanzu

Haruchiyo Sanzu is a vice leader of the Kento Manji Gang, a brutal gang currently led by Manjiro Sano with the conclusion of the Battle of the Three Deities that resulted in the deaths of many important figures. Sanzu is a really cold yet calm individual who is extremely loyal to his gang.

Opening and Ending Songs

The rock band Official HiGE DANdism, back from the Christmas Showdown arc, is belting out the opening theme, "White Noise." While the ending theme, "Say My Name," is in the capable hands of the band HEY-SMITH.

Release Date

The brand new Tenjiku Arc will premiere in Japan on October 3rd on the MBS, TV Tokyo, and AT-X channels at 24:00 JST. The 31 affiliate channels all over Japan and even Disney+ will stream Tokyo Revengers worldwide except for Mainland China.

Wakui, the author, launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine way back in 2017 and then ended the series last November. Weekly Shōnen Magazine is rolling out the Tokyo Revengers Extra spinoff manga! This one's diving into the origins of the Tokyo Manji Gang founders.

For those of you who don’t know about Tokyo Revengers, it’s the story of Takemichi Hanagaki and his very first love who got involved with a badass Tokyo Manji Gang and couldn’t make it out alive. Takemichi somehow gets the ability to travel through time whether it’s the past or the future. He wishes to go back in time to protect and make some amendments during the Tokyo Manji Gang era. So, Takemichi decides to join hands with the gang and sneakily get his revenge on the members.
