NEW That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Movie Unveils Title & Release Date!
The franchise has officially announced its second anime film, titled "Soukai no Namida-hen" (Tears of the Blue Sea Arc). The movie is set to hit Japanese theaters in February 2026, and a teaser visual has already been revealed.
What’s the Movie About?
While details on the plot are still under wraps, the title suggests that the story will have a strong connection to the ocean. The teaser visual shows Rimuru looking toward a vast, shining blue sea, hinting at a potentially emotional and visually stunning adventure.
The animation studio eightbit is returning to produce the film, just like they did for the previous Tensura projects. However, the director has not yet been confirmed.
Alongside the new movie, the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime is also gearing up for its fourth season, ensuring that fans have plenty of content to look forward to in the coming years.
About the Series
Based on the light novels by Fuse, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime follows Satoru Mikami, a regular corporate worker who is suddenly killed and reincarnated in a fantasy world as a slime. Despite his unusual new form, he takes on the name Rimuru Tempest and sets out to build a kingdom where all races can coexist peacefully.
The latest anime season was directed by Atsushi Nakayama (Absolute Duo) at studio eightbit, with series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) and character designs by Ryoma Ebata (Stars Align).
