New Gate Anime Launches Exciting Browser Game Experience!
CTW recently announced that Shinogi Kazanami's light novel series "The New Gate" is not only getting a television anime adaptation but also a browser game adaptation titled "THE NEW GATE Best Collection" on the G123 service. The browser game will be available for free with optional in-game purchases, allowing players to craft gear, team up with allies, and embark on exciting adventures in a role-playing game format. Battles in the game will be fought using a turn-based auto-battling system.
Anime Release Details and Staff Information
The anime adaptation of "The New Gate" is set to debut on April 13 at 25:30 (effectively April 14 at 1:30 a.m.) on Tokyo MX and BS11, with later airings on MBS and AT-X. Crunchyroll will also stream the anime as it airs, providing accessibility to a wider audience. Directed by Tamaki Nakatsu at Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts, the series will feature scripts by Hiroki Uchida and character designs by Itsuki Takemoto. The music for the anime will be composed by Tatsuhiko Saiki, Yūya Mori, Misaki Tsuchida, and Tsugumi Tanaka. The opening theme song, "Sekai wo Inuite" (Pierce Through The World), will be performed by Sou, while Mika Okasaki will perform the ending theme song, "Kanataboshi."
"The New Gate" follows the story of Shin, a player in an online game that unexpectedly becomes a life-and-death struggle. After defeating the game's final boss, Shin finds himself transported 500 years into the future of the in-game world. With unparalleled strength, Shin embarks on a legendary journey in this strange new land. The manga adaptation of the novels is being released digitally and physically by One Peace Books.
Shinogi Kazanami began serializing "The New Gate" on the "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" website in 2013 before it was published by AlphaPolis in physical volumes starting December 2013. The series gained popularity, leading to the announcement of the anime adaptation and the browser game adaptation. With its intriguing premise and captivating world, "The New Gate" is poised to offer fans both an exciting anime experience and an immersive gaming adventure.
