New Code Geass Manga Announced for 10th Anniversary Celebration!
The Code Geass franchise is expanding once again with a brand-new manga, Code Geass: Pure Almaria. This new story aims to fill in the gaps between Lelouch of the Re;surrection and Rozé of the Recapture, keeping fans engaged with more details about the world and its characters.
Fans have been speculating about how Rozé of the Recapture, released in 2024, connects to Lelouch of the Re;surrection. One major revelation is that the protagonist of the Rozé films, Sakuya Sumeragi, is actually Lelouch's niece. She is the daughter of Princess Sherry Me Britannia and Jugo Sumeragi, linking her directly to the Britannian royal family.
Now, the newly announced manga Pure Almaria will help bridge these stories further. Supervised by Kōjirō Taniguchi, producer of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, the manga officially debuted on Kadokawa’s Kadocomi website on January 24, 2025.
What is Code Geass: Pure Almaria About?
The story is set in Kyrgyzstan, after the kidnapping of Nunnally and Zero. It takes place in the five-year gap between Lelouch of the Re;surrection and Rozé of the Recapture.
The manga follows Hakuba Soga and Satori Richelieu, two agents from Izayoi, an intelligence agency working directly under Kaguya Sumeragi—a familiar character in the Code Geass universe. The story unfolds in the middle of an intense conflict between civilians and government forces.
Iconic characters like Gino Weinberg and Zero are confirmed to appear, though their exact roles in the plot remain a mystery.
