New Cat's Eye Anime Drops Teaser, Cast & Staff Reveal – Premieres This September!
Disney+ Japan has officially revealed exciting details about the upcoming Cat’s Eye anime, including its main cast, staff, and a teaser trailer. The anime will premiere in September, exclusively on Disney+’s "Star" brand in Japan.

TLIDEN FILMS is producing the anime, whichYoshifumi Sueda (High School DxD Hero) is directing. Hayashi Mori (Sand Land: The Series) is in charge of the script, while Yosuke Yabumoto (The Legendary Hero is Dead!) is handling character design and serving as the chief animation director. Tuki Hayashi is known for his work on Haikyu!!! and My Hero Academia. composed the music
Popular Japanese singer Ado will perform a cover of Cat’s Eye’s iconic 1983 opening theme song, originally sung by Anri. This will bring a nostalgic touch to the series and introduce it to a new generation of fans.
What is Cat’s Eye?
Created by Tsukasa Hōjō, Cat’s Eye is a classic manga that follows three sisters—Hitomi, Rui, and Ai Kisugi—who run a café by day but secretly operate as master art thieves by night. The manga ran from 1981 to 1985 and inspired two anime seasons in the 1980s.
A Lupin III vs. Cat’s Eye crossover anime premiered in January 2023 on Amazon Prime Video.
A live-action French TV series dset in modern-day 2023 ebuted in November 2023 on French channels TF1 and TF1+, and launchedinternationally on Amazon Prime Video in December. The show,has already been renewed for a second season.
