Jujutsu Kaisen: April-May 2024 Breaks
Jujutsu Kaisen fans, brace yourselves! The manga is taking a break after Chapter 221, which releases on April 23. But don't worry, it'll be back with Chapter 222 on May 14, in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #24.
Now, why the break? Well, it's partly because of Japan's Golden Week holidays, happening from April 29 to May 5. During this time, all manga in Weekly Shonen Jump take a little breather.
But there's more to it. Jujutsu Kaisen has had its share of hiatuses before. The manga's creator, Gege Akutami, had to take breaks last year due to health reasons. And back in 2021, there was even an indefinite hiatus announced.
But fear not! The manga's current arc is in full swing, focusing on Kenjaku and revealing the purpose behind the Culling Game. And guess what? Akutami aims to wrap up the manga before 2024. That means we're nearing the climax of the story!
Right now, things are super intense and suspenseful. Fans are on the edge of their seats, waiting to see what happens next. And with the series going on hiatus soon, there's speculation that we might be left with a major cliffhanger.
But you know what they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder! A break like this only builds more excitement for the manga's return. And hey, it gives us time to catch our breath and maybe even reread some favorite chapters while we wait.
So, while we'll miss our regular dose of Jujutsu Kaisen for a little while, it's all part of the journey. And when it comes back, you can bet we'll be ready to dive back into the action!
