Haikyuu Manga Announces Its Special Comeback!
After a break, Haikyu is making a special comeback in 2024. The anime, which took a break for a while, is set to return soon, and to celebrate, the manga will have a special chapter.
The creator of Haikyu, Haruichi Furudate, is coming back to the manga. In just a few days, a 16-page special chapter will be published in Weekly Shonen Jump. This special chapter is meant to build excitement for the return of the anime.
Here's a quick recap if you're not up to date with Haikyu's recent moves. In 2019, the anime released its fourth season, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it had to delay its end until December 2020. Since then, Haikyu has been quiet. Recently, the anime's production committee announced that Haikyu wasn't finished yet and planned to conclude with two movies. These movies will adapt the final parts of Furudate's sports manga.
The first movie, titled "Haikyu the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump," is set to premiere in February 2024. However, the title and release date for the second movie are still unknown, and fans are hoping for a 2024 premiere.
If you're not caught up with Haikyu, now is a great time to start. You can watch it on streaming platforms like Hulu and Crunchyroll. The anime follows the story of Shoyo Hinata, who, inspired by a pro volleyball player, creates a volleyball team in his last year of middle school. In high school, he joins the volleyball team, only to find out that his rival Tobio Kageyama has also joined.
So, the Haikyu comeback is a double treat – a special manga chapter to get us excited and the much-anticipated return of the anime with two exciting movies. If you're a Haikyu fan, this news is surely making you excited about what's to come in the world of Hinata, Kageyama, and their volleyball adventures.
