GMB Japan, a Japanese audio production company, made an announcement today regarding their acquisition of the license to adapt the popular manga series "Mr. Song, Keep Calm" into an audio drama. Created initially by Chinese manga publisher Snap Studio, the manga has gained a massive following in China and internationally.
The CEO of GMB Japan, Yu Rivers, expressed her excitement about collaborating with Snap Studio on this project and bringing "Mr. Song, Keep Calm" to life in a new medium. “Recognizing the manga's tremendous success, GMB Japan believes the audio drama adaptation will receive a similarly positive response from fans.”
The manga series has garnered praise for its engaging characters, fast-paced action, and a unique blend of comedy and drama. The storyline of "Mr. Song, Keep Calm" revolves around Shi Baba, a young girl who loves reading romance novels. After growing tired of the clichés surrounding a "bossy CEO" in the book "Lovely Wife of the CEO," she finds herself accidentally trapped within the story. Now, she must either complete the assigned tasks as the fictional character Chuhan Bai or start the story from the beginning. Along her journey, she encounters a mysterious, charming young man who adds an unpredictable twist to the plot.
Snap Studio's SVP of Business Development, Rebecca Li, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with GMB Japan on this project. "We have confidence in GMB Japan's experience and expertise to create an exceptional audio drama adaptation that captures the essence of the manga and appeals to both new and existing fans."
While GMB Japan has yet to reveal the cast or release date for the audio drama adaptation of "Mr. Song, Please Keep Calm," fans can expect further updates in the coming months. Read the manga free on MangaToon and other publishing platforms.
