Fire Force Anime Returns With Exciting Update After 4 Years!
After four long years, Fire Force is finally making its big return with Season 3, set to premiere on Crunchyroll in April 2025. The announcement was made during CCXP in Brazil, where fans were treated to a new trailer, teaser visual, and key production details. Crunchyroll also confirmed it will simulcast the series, meaning fans outside Japan can enjoy episodes as they air.
Season 3 will mark the final chapter of Fire Force's anime journey. The season will be split into two parts, or "cours." The first cour will air in April 2025, followed by the second in January 2026.
The new trailer showcases some of the intense battles and fiery visuals fans can expect, and the teaser visual promises an action-packed finale. Tatsuma Minamikawa, who directed Season 2, is returning to lead the project. He’s also handling the series composition, ensuring a consistent story flow. Hideyuki Morioka is back to design the characters, while David Production, known for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, will once again handle the animation.
In addition to Fire Force, Crunchyroll announced several other exciting acquisitions at CCXP. One standout is Nyaight of the Living Cat, a 2025 anime directed by the legendary Takashi Miike, known for his live-action films. The series will be animated by OLM, the studio behind The Apothecary Diaries, which is set to premiere in January 2025.
Other upcoming titles include Farmagia, with character designs by Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima, and Grisaia Phantom Trigger. Fans can also look forward to Unnamed Memory Season 2, Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest, Magic Maker: How to Make Magic in Another World, and Teogonia, all coming to Crunchyroll soon.
Additionally, a new trailer for ZENSHU, set to premiere in January 2025, was unveiled alongside a teaser for To Be Hero X, scheduled for release later that year.
With Fire Force Season 3 and so many other exciting titles on the horizon, 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for anime fans. Stay tuned for more updates!
