Clean Opening Animation for My Happy Marriage Season 2 Released
Kadokawa has released the clean opening animation sequence for My Happy Marriage Season 2. The sequence, which is free of credits, features the theme song "Shiawase no Yakusoku" (A Happy Promise) by Riria. Fans can now enjoy the animation with a clear view of its stunning visuals.

The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere on January 6, 2025, airing on Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and TV Aichi. It will also air on AT-X on January 7. Netflix and other streaming platforms will make the season available at the same time as its TV debut, on January 6 at 10:30 p.m. Japan Time (8:30 a.m. EST). To build excitement, the anime’s main cast joined a special New Year's Day stream on January 1.
The returning cast includes Reina Ueda as Miyo Saimori and Kaito Ishikawa as Kiyoka Kudo, along with other familiar voices. Joining them is Haruka Tomatsu, who will play Kaoruko Jinnouchi, a new character.
The second season is produced by Kinema Citrus with directors Masayuki Kojima and Takehiro Kubota. Ami Satō oversees the series scripts and collaborates with a talented team of writers, including Misato Hashiba and Fūka Ishii. Shōko Yasuda returns as the character designer, while the art direction and music supervision teams also make a comeback to maintain the high-quality production fans loved in Season 1.
In addition to the opening theme, Kashitarō Itō is performing the ending theme song, "Tsukikage Okuri" (Moonlight Sending).
Season 1, which premiered in July 2023, gained significant popularity with its 12-episode run on Netflix. A special original anime episode titled The Shape of Happiness (OVA) was bundled with the eighth volume of the light novels and streamed globally on November 22, 2024, adding to the excitement.
My Happy Marriage Overview
The story follows Miyo Saimori, a young woman who suffers mistreatment from her stepmother before being married off to Kiyoka Kudo, a soldier infamous for his cold demeanor. Despite their rocky start, the two begin to find solace and love in each other. The novels, written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, have been adapted into a manga and a live-action film, which topped Japanese box offices in its opening weekend.
