Attack On Titan Anime’s Finale Will Differ a Little From Its Manga
The fans of Attack On Titan are more than ready to face its finale. The creator, Hajime Isayama revealed a message that there will be some differences in the final scene of the anime as compared to the manga. He even went the extra mile and asked to change the storyboard thumbnails a bit. Isayama also expressed his apologies and gratitude to the anime studio MAPPA for their hardwork in suddenly having to adapt to changes and story’s conclusion.
The anime’s grand finale known as “The Final Chapters, Part 2” is set to premiere this Saturday on NHK General channel. So, brace yourselves for an 85-minute masterpiece. You can also watch it on Crunchyroll and Hulu. So, make sure to mark your calendars!
Isayama originally started Attack On Titan manga back in 2009, concluding the epic saga in April 2021. The final volume got released on June 2021 and if you’re an English reader, Kodansha USA Publishing has got you covered with both digital and print versions.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the anime journey, it all began in 2013 with the first season, followed by the second one in 2019. However, “The Final Season” anime kicked off in December 2020 and ran for 16 whole thrilling episodes. Funimation along with Crunchyroll had streamed it with English subs and Toonami also joined the party in January 2021.
The final stretch called “The Final Season Part 2”, started with episode 76 in January 2022, consisting of 12 episodes. Again, Crunchyroll and Funimation had kept the fans engaged with the storyline. If you missed the first part of “The Final Chapters” worry not! It premiered as a one-hour special in March under the title “Attack on Titan Final Season, THE FINAL CHAPTERS Special 1. Toonami also aired it on September 9.
The new theme song, “Under the Tree”, performed by SIM, adds to the epic atmosphere. Now, as we gear up for the grand finale of Attack On Titan, it’s essential to know that Isayama previewed the manga’s final panel in a documentary back in 2018.
